Is Your Situation Urgent?

In a psychiatric, medical, or other emergency, before calling us please use the following resources in Sullivan County, New York...

For psychiatric (mental health) emergencies, Sullivan County Mobile Mental Health is a free, confidential, crisis mental health adult service team composed of experienced mental health professionals who travel anywhere into the community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you prefer, they are also available for telephone counseling. Call (845) 791-7123 or (800) 710-7082. (Neighboring NY counties see below.)

If you are in withdrawal from alcohol or other drugs and need medically managed detox, try Catholic Charities Monticello at (845) 794-8080, ext. 132. The New Directions program at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis (Orange County) also offers medically managed detox services, substance abuse rehab, and inpatient psychiatric care. You can also try Catskill Regional Medical Center at (845) 794-3300 for medical treatment. Though CRMC does not currently have a dedicated detox unit, they may still be able to provide hospitalization for withdrawal. You can also call 911 in the event of a drug overdose or other life-threatening emergency.

Mobile Medic EMS at (845) 794-9111 provides Basic and Advanced Life Support Services to the County of Sullivan and surrounding areas.

Catskill Regional Medical Center at (845) 794-3300 or 911 is Sullivan County's full-service hospital; its main facility in Harris, and the Grover Hermann Division in Callicoon. Urgent care, primary care, and several medical specialties are also offered by Catskill Regional Medical Group with locations throughout Sullivan County.

For victims of domestic violence, Safe Passage runs a 24-hour crisis hotline at (845) 292-5700 (other locations). Safe homes, domestic violence legal advocacy, and information for victims is available at no cost. If you are currently in an unsafe situation and need police protection, please call 911 or your local police department.

If you know or have reasonable cause to suspect that a child (your own or another's) is being abused or maltreated, call the NYS Central Registry for Child Abuse and Maltreatment at (800) 342-3720. If a child is in immediate danger, please call 911, or local police.

To build your personal and social support network, we recommend choosing among these independent peer-run self-help groups. If you feel like drinking or using drugs right now, go to a meeting or call a sober friend for support.

If your circumstance is not like anything described above, we welcome your call and and discuss availability. Appointments are scheduled as quickly as possible for first-time visits, and on a consistent basis for established clients.
